Converting snowmobile trailer to bike trailer?

I was just reading another post about trailers and wondered if anyone had converted a snowmobile trailer to a trailer for their bike(s). I don't know what the GVW of those two sled trailers are but I think they'd have to be heavy enough for a couple bikes since they can haul a couple sleds.

It seems like I could fairly easily convert one for a couple bikes with some scrap steel and my MIG welder. I could add some tie down points wherever I needed them and even add some track to roll up with some C-channel.

Being from Maine, and a true blue dyed in the wool frugal Yankee, I would normally contemplate revamping a snowmobile trailer to haul my wing BUT..........
When you have over 20K invested in a bike, why would you put it on a dime store trailer?
Don't get me wrong….
I will look to save a buck as fast as anyone, but I am not gonna take a chance with my “baby”.
Besides….
There is no way a snow machine weighs as much as a wing. (is there?)
I can pick up the front or back of a snow machine and horse it around. A wing?? I don't think so. There has to be a BIG difference in weight.

Gary,
Triton sells 2 different style wheel chocks for their trailers - that fit either the single position or versatrac ski tiedowns. I made mine from 2"x 6" steel channel stock.
And to answer Rk's question on weight and frugality - being a transplanted Yankee myself. I can put 4- jetskis/ 4- 4wheelers/ or 2-Goldwings an Escapade trailer and a dirt bike, on a 14' snowmobile trailer. That's what I call Frugal!!!!
