A few days ago someone posted a cute joke about the bible proving that the biblical David rode a motorcycle. "David's Triumph was heard throughout the land."

I was needing the chapter and verse. Can anyone help?

There's someone at my church who rides a Triumph. He would get a kick out of it, if I could quote "chapter and verse".

Still a cute joke, even if not true.

Concordance shows 10 verses with the word triumph. 8 in the book of psalms, none with that wording.

Did you know the 3 Wise Men traveled to the Manger in a Honda? It says they came in one Accord.

Their profession was Firemen. It says they came from a far.

Funny :yes1:

Do you know the disciples had to share a car?
Philippians 2:2 (American Standard Version)
Make full my joy, that ye be of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord...

They all met at a famous hotel in Washington, D.C....
Neimeiah 8:1 (New International Version)
…all the people assembled as one man in the square before the Water Gate.

Dozens of translations. Victory could well be translated as Triumph in some. Well, that would be a bike too, wouldn't it? BTW, you may find your Bible knowledge increased by doing your own search.

It is based on 1 Samuel Ch 8 but it doesn't use exact wording in any verse. The closest is in the NASB Bible version .

I believe God likes to ride with us because in Joshua 6:27 KJV "The Lord was with Joshua and his Triumph was heard throughout the land." Or maybe just because Joshua liked loud aftermarket exhaust pipes.

King David is rumored to like British machinery. Many of his Triumphs are listed in 2 Samuel 8, and there's a bunch of them.

The Almighty might have placed Dodge trucks in high favor. In Joshua 6 he tells Joshua, the priests, and the people to circle the city of Jerico each day for six days, then on the 7th day circle it 6 more times and on the 7th time around, "they make a long blast with the Ram's horn". That, and with a great shout of the people the walls of Jerico came tumbling down. Dodge vs Ford's F150, not so much.

Moses was perhaps also a Mopar kind of guy. In Exodus 19:13 he tells the Israelites ..."only when the Ram's horn sounds a long blast may they go up the mountain".

Come to think of it, in the beginning God favored Mopar. In Genesis 4, after the fall of man, God drove Adam out of the Garden of Eden in a Fury. It was much later before the wise men and the apostles tooled around in one Accord.

The God I know has a sense of humor. I know that because he went to his death on the cross for me, the least deserving of his grace and mercy. Nothing I did, or do, or ever will do will be deserving of his making even a glance toward me. This post was made in good humor and I took some liberties with translations. Please take it as such for Romans 1:16 guides my walk.
