Anyone know of a place that has these on hand?
Been looking and emailing a bunch of outfits asking if they have them on hand and they have come back with 1 month to 6 months possibly before they receive any. Asked them all that I contacted to email me when they get them in.
We are getting our 18 Goldwing triked right now and would like to put the Avon trike tire on while they have the wheel off for putting on the rake kit. Guess I should have been looking 8 months ago when I ordered our CSC encore trike kit.

I got an Avon Chrome Trike tire in about March '22........were hard to find then also.
As spummerr says put your email on various websites that normally stock them.......once you get that email, order immediately.

I ended up getting mine from Revzilla........they were sold out within a day when they came in.

I should have made a list for all the websites that I looked at and also the ones that I put my email info on. But after 2 strokes my mind doesn't always work the way it should.

Not interested in a Bridgestone, going to go with Avon again as we had one on our 2010 Goldwing CSC Trike and really liked the way it handled. Had a Bridgestone on prior to the Avon, it was ok but Avon handled much better on our Trike.
Thanks anyway.

I agree that the AVON Cobra Chrome is MUCH better but the Bridgestone is a viable option if you get down the wear bars and still have not found a source.

Over the years I have gone through a couple of those before AVON threw their hat in the ring. The first Cobra TRIKE tire was good but the Cobra Chrome is superior!! :) :)(y)

I emailed them and asked if in stock. They replied they are with free shipping but $300. is crazy.
Guessing only people that need one "right now" will pay that price.
I will wait and see I guess.
Thanks for the link though.

Genes isnt far off the mark. Ive been talking with a few dealers and pretty much the new price is around 250-275.00 and theyre all backordered. I wound up buying a BT46 because I didnt think mine was going to make it until fall ,but Ive got 20,000 on it and I havent hit the wear bars yet. Shes always aired up to 41 psi and sadly most of my riding past few years is Illinois and surrounding states.

Unfortunately, there does appear to be an extreme shortage of the AV-91 Trike version for GL1800's and I think you will be hard pressed to even find it at your local dealer. Not sure why. I did try contacting Avon directly via email but never got a response back. The version for Harley front trike tires seems to still be available, just not the radial Goldwing version. Even all the big go-to online retailers that would normally have it show out of stock or temporarily unavailable. I'd rather switch to something else than pay the Gene's Gallery price. Luckily I still have some more miles before I need to replace mine...

It helps if you hold a flashlight off to side or even shine down the groove to see the wear bars and they are much easier to see then.

But one thing that happened to me. This was IIRC, at about 10k miles earlier this year. I then put another 3k miles on after this photo. I still was at roughly the same depth to the wear bars. But I had gotten a very flat profile and was having some rideability issues. I probably could have gotten a few more thousand miles out of the tire but ride quality wasn't near as good as when the AV91 was new. I felt it was time for a new tire so I did the next best thing and now have a BT46 on the front. It's actually been quite a surprise and ride quality seems back to where it was when the new AV91 first went on. I now plan on riding with this one until it wears out but still plan on picking up an AV91 or 2 when they become available again. Hopefully the Avon rep I spoke with a recently is correct and the retailers will be resupplied in the coming weeks.
