If any member has owned or has experience with both the Honda and the Harley could you give a comparison.
I now ride a Goldwing TRIKE (roadsmith) and love how it rides........Can't say I've owned a trike, but I currently own a HD and a Goldwing. The major difference between the two is that the HD is a factory built trike that will be under warranty from the factory. All Honda trikes are aftermarket conversions that your local dealer may or may not warranty in the event of a problem. HD has a better dealer network and a 900 page accessory catalog. The Goldwing is smoother and offers a DCT transmission. I can't say how the fit and finish is on Goldwing trike conversions, but HD's paint is some of the best in the business. Don't let the nay-sayers here dissuade you from a Harley.....it's a fine motorcycle, just different from a Goldwing.
I second the motion.......Honda Goldwing DCT CSC Encore Trike, enough said.
looks like youre saying the hd wasnt smooth, its funny because the m8 is the smoothed out hd engine. my cammed high comp twin cam and my wing just dont even get compared to each other.I now ride a Goldwing TRIKE (roadsmith) and love how it rides........
Last season I test rode a brand new 2023 Harley trike, and thought how can anyone honestly, like this bike??? Even though the Harley was brand new, I politely, told the disappointed salesman,(cause I didn't buy it) that this trike is not for me...... and rode away on my smooth 2010 Honda with a good feeling smile on my face... The true remarks above, about not have'n a Honda dealer service or warranty it in the event of a problem..

different strokes for different folks right? i just found it kind of funny. the took all the vibration out for the test groups for the m8 then had to put some back in because people didnt like it. i absolutely agree on the pricing though of everything. dealers want to give you nothing for what youve got but expect you to pay markup plus for what theyre selling. its ridiculous.Hi John,
yes, (sorry) BUT I was totally disappointed in the ride (I mentioned that to the salesman) and his return answer to me "was Quote: Oh! " It's a Harley, that's how it rides, you'll get used to it, soon, and then enjoy it"......Then it came to the trade in value (and I almost threw up when They offered, me, what they we going to give me for a trade in on my Goldwing.) and then came the full amount to pay it off was offered, holly, crap, it was more than my house payment was , when I had a mortgage... NO THANK YOU!!!!

HD drive belts are $250-$300 bucks. If taken care of, especially properly tensioned and the pulleys in alignment, belts will easily last more than 50,000 miles. How long do the belts last on a Harley? Harley trikes have a belt driven differential whereas a Gold Wing has a shaft driven differential. I think the belt would be kind of expensive to replace on their trike when the need arises.
Easily last 50k miles...with my Yamaha Road Star, I haven't adjusted the drive belt since my last tire change years ago. It's funny how some think drive belts are inferior, but with the old wing there were rear drive failures as low as 48k miles on this forum.HD drive belts are $250-$300 bucks.
