2018 only issues to date…improper torqued steering head nut that stretches the threads causing the handlebars to loosen, shake and wobble, fuel pump impeller swelling causing bike to stall, UBS bolt snapping causing catastrophic engine damage, stalling bikes that require dealer to reflash ecu, audio unit module failing causing fuse to blow and losing ride mode and settings functions. What else am I forgetting that has been a pretty severe safety issue with the 2018 only bikes??

2018/19 have had the same problems. Steering head bearing and spindle, right tie-rod, 6MT clutch switch failures cause HSA error then failure. Final drive leaks from assembly issue. Fuel pump issue/recall affecting 18/19 and early production 20. Valve train failures almost exclusively exhaust valve because of assembly issues or bad parts, can cause cam and intake valve damage. Tech package causing electrical issues, operation issues and the only subsystem not covered on extended warranty, main audio unit $3k for the part. ISG Bolt issues and ISG dampener issues, more common than UBS bolt issue. Our 2018 bike has had the tie rod replaced under warranty. Second tie-rod failing I replaced with Traxxion part. First clutch switch replaced under warranty. Second one I replaced and a third one will be needed before the end of summer. Final drive leak Honda approved unit for warranty replacement but with no time table or lead time on replacement. Bike not rideable leaking as bad as it was so I replaced the seal and o-rings. Fuel pump issue will be done under the recall.

OUCH! o_O Now I'm glad I kept my 2010 (and TRIKED her out) I almost purchased a 2018 model when I was "think'n" of going for the TRIKE conversion.. BUT because of the low miles (on it) and she was running great, I decided to just convert my faithful 2010 into a Roadsmith warrior. Guess I'll just keep on doing what I'm do'n, and that's change'n the oil ~n~ filter, and ride'n with a smile on my face...and crank'n up the Led Jepplin tunes... let the ride'n season begin!!

My 2018 has only had the clutch switch replaced and I replaced the tie rod with a Traxxion tie rod...other than that my 2018 has been flawless..still have the OEM battery too....my 2018 has been much better than my 2003 that required quite a few bug fixes under warranty..but that said once Honda fixed the bugs my 2003 was flawless for the last 10 years I rode it...I never spent one dime for any repairs with my 2003 and so far not a dime spent on my 2018 for any repairs.

Like many responses here - my 2018 DCT Tourer has experienced none of these things over 24K miles. Taking it in this week for the dealer inspection for the fuel pump recall. Been a very reliable ride so far.

I haven‘t experienced any of those issues yet with my 2018 6 speed or made any trips yet to the dealer for anything. 46,000 miles.

I can’t say that for any other vehicle I have bought in the last 10 years… So it’s hands down the clear winner in my book.
2018 DCT bought new. Just turned 60K. Nothing wrong yet. It should be noted that I have done ALL the maintenance to date except the valve checking/clearance ........whatever it's called. Could not have even ATTEMPTED it had it ( how would I even get the plastic panels off ?? ) not been for Fred's videos as I had NEVER done ANY maintenance on a motorcycle before in my life ( I've had about 12 bikes ) except oil changes, some filters.

I mention this to show that with proper maintenance, you're LIKELY not to have issues with a Honda. I know................no amount of care would prevent a part failure. I think. ( UBS bolt. )

Don’t ya love these kind of threads…….:coffee:

My 2018 has been absolutely flawless!
I've said it many, many times on here and in other forums like this one. One has to take into account, just how many Wings, as in 2018 model years, were sold WORLD WIDE? Then how many of those have riders/owners actually participate on/in THIS FORUM? Then, how many ACTUALLY HAVE any or all of the problems or issues listed above???? If you take just the answers that have been provided in the short amount of time so far, the amount of '18's vs the amount of issues ratio, sure seems a bit on the lean side, doesn't it? I may be jinking myself here but, I must join the ranks of " my 2018 Tour DCT Airbag has had none of those issues to date" group too. In fact, other than the vary rare but occasional windshield hiccup, this bike has been flawless. And we purchased it used about 2 years ago with 5,300 on the clock. So, I have no idea as to whether or not it had any issues prior to our taking possession of it.

Same here. I'm feeling totally left out and rejected. But, not enough to pick at scabs looking for what's underneath. The bike faithfully transported me to and from work today in sport mode while I was working the paddles. Still enjoying it like the first day.

I have had chronic tire wear from sidewall to sidewall, chronic fuel loss, keeps getting bugs on the wind screen, and it is robbing me of time to get my household chores done.

Actually, I did find some galling on the steering head stem and have the Traxxion steel unit now.
