Honda 6 year warranty

I guess I paid $730 for my extra year (3 + 4 extended coverage for 7 years total)

I wonder if the new coverage adds or subtracts from what is covered?

I checked with my dealer and existing warranties won’t be extended (as expected but if you don’t ask, you don’t get..)

I also asked if a USA warranty would cover and was told no. To purchase a 2 year extended warranty costs £539

It looks like this 6 year warranty is only for bikes in some European countries. From what I can gather, it looks like the US bikes still remain at 3 years. Anyone see anything stating differently?

IIRC in places like UK where they get the 6 year warranty, one of the requirements is that all scheduled servicing and maintenance be done at the Honda dealer and that could add a lot to the ownership cost. A friend bought a new Indian which came with a "special 5 year warranty" rather than the standard 2 year. The problem is in the fine print it states that same thing, all scheduled maintenance must be done by the dealer. I forget what he told me they charge for what is essentially an oil change, something like $450!

This link states maintained by Honda dealer. I’m a month into extended one year Honda warranty provided by dealer when new; I’ll be asking tomorrow if this will be renewed each year as per the link.
