Weird issue with Sean 50S: Mic not workign on Mesh

I have a Gen 1 Sena 50S updated to latest FW.
Yesterday I was riding with my buddies, and the Mic stopped working on Mesh. I could hear them, they could not hear me. But Mic worked fine on voice call.

I tied Mesh 2.0, 3.0, Channel 1, 2 etc... moved the Vox and Mic sensitivity to level 2, then level 3, no success.

I am guessing that my mic (boom mic with a little wire at the end) may have gone bad, but in that case voice call should also mot have worked.

I am going to hard reset and test with a new mic, but looking for inputs if anyone has faced similar scenario.

Paging @Navy Gator :)

That the mic was working on a phone call (I'm assuming that that is what you mean by "voice call") indicates that the mic is working.

Just to reverify what is working and what isn't, while at home, with only the headset and phone fully connected to each other, try:
1) a phone call
2) a "Hey Siri" or "Hey Google" command to do something
(voice command through the headset to start the digital assistant may or may not work depending on settings on the headset)

If those two work, then the mic is working

Thanks, I will try this.

Well,
I kind-a thought about that too but, in his original post, he did say "......and the mic stopped working...." He didn't indicate any physical movement like touching his headset controls or, adjusting the volume etc. Sooooo, at this point, maybe a programming issue, a temporary wiring connection issue, atmospheric conditions, sun spots, E.T's trying to phone home, who knows.

Did you accidentally mute the mic during mesh? Push and hold the mesh button for a second to toggle the mic on and off.

I did try to mic mute and un-mute, and got the verbal notification too, but the mic did not work. Rebooted a few times, but no improvement.

ET phone home ...lols..

Back to square one...

Same issue last week and today.

I used a new mount (thinking that the old mount had some defect and pins between headset and mount were not mating). Changed the mic too.

Phone call worked fine, I can hear everyone on mesh, I just cant transmit .... it works occasionally but then stops again.

Facing the same problem with both my Sena 50S headsets.

At a loss what to do ...

Very puzzling.

The intermittent mic issues I've run into were due to a broken wire in my mic (replaced mic) and a friend's bad contact between base and the brain unit (sticky pins on the unit stayed retracted, wiggled then cleaned). But the interruptions were consistent across all media. Having the issue with only mesh is odd and points to something like the internal mesh chip. Having the same issue on two units is astronomically crazy odds that can only point to some egregious sins coming back around to roost.

Get started with those Hail Marys because it seems like it's going to take a lot of them. Blessed be the penitent...

Thanks, Actually, I think sticky pins may be the issue.

Any thoughts if DeoxIT D5 (Amazon.com) would be ok to clean those contacts.
