valve clearance

What could cause the intake valve clearance to be 0.012"? I checked and adjusted my valves in 2012 and rechecked the clearance when I was finished. Everything was good and all intake valves were set to 0.006" on the recheck. This was the only valve that was way out of whack. Could that valve...
