I am going to be buying sometime next year. How difficult is it for me to do everything by phone, and fly to your Ohio store (or at least to the airport) to pick up and ride home? I am from California.
Just make sure you understand the California laws and what you need to do to register it in California.

Only the taxes, license and title fees. That sales tax will get your attention. Man, do I love ORYGUN.

I have friends that have bought out of state. I will make sure I speak with them before I do it. However, I was told that I just need to pay
California the difference in the sales tax. i.e., If the tax rate is 7% in Ohio and is 7.5% in Cal, then all I need to pay is the difference of .5%.

We only collect the tax on Ohio residents. All other states would pay their own tax when they get home and register the bike.

To raise passenger floorboards is either Show Chrome 52-693 or otherwise Kuryakyn transformer boards that as a lifting bar or the Rivco's ajustable to 56 positions passenger floorboard.
To be able to buy more accessories I found out we have to keep the wife happy, so make her happy
Wish you nice ride on your 07, I also just got an orange 07 and regret it, too red should have bought the blue

CA doesn't use any grease,if you know what I mean......AZ actually cost me more to register my Wing, however, due to their using a blue book value to determine the amount of registration $$$ to charge you.....although I pay way less for insurance.

bikes available and prices

Hal. what bikes are still available from 06 and at what prices?

Great prices, Hal.

I was getting ready to place my order and get a plane ticket but made the mistake of stopping by my local dealer first to see the '07 colors up close. (I've bought all my other Hondas from him.) When he found out what I was going to do, he made me a deal that saves plane fare plus on his last '06 GL18HPNA. I'll be getting the keys in a few days. Now I just need to decide what to do with the VTX.

Maybe next time...

Getting ready to pull the trigger, got the wife just about talked into it. Hal, will you match the price that Southern Honda has? I will be making the trip to buy a Wing someplace this spring, your a little closer to me and I would prefer to buy from you seeing you support this board so much, but I will travel to save some $$$$$$.

(I'm guessing it was a typo that you did not include ABS in the unit for sale.)

Tell me you'll take my '03 (ridden gently to church on Sunday's) for the $9,500 I still owe on it and we can probably work something out!

Are you carrying those Pirreli's yet???

Great prices Hal, wish I'd known when I bought my '06.

Harry - I bought my '04 V-Strom when we still lived across the river in NE PDX. Boy was I in for a shock when I bought the '06 'wing after we moved to the 'Couve. I think my first set of plates cost me $1,600 including sales tax! And we have to renew every year at a cost of ~ $45!

Good thing housing and property taxes are cheeper in Washington. And no income tax, although now I'm working in Oregon so I gotta pay anyway. <sigh> I'm begining to think we need to move back south of the river.

Yeah, we get busted on the income tax. But you need to get on the government retirement dole - no income tax on Public Employees Retirement, and with no sales tax, makes it a little easier. Then get out of the Williamette metro area, and housing prices as well as the property tax takes a dive. Love that limitation.

Small wonder we get all those imports from down south that put cyclone fences around their lots......
