Be sure to read MAW's company policies before EVER placing an order with them. Also, notice that there is a section of text that is completely MISSING that deals with restock charges. You must agree to these incomplete policies before they will accept your order.

There's a number of things in here that are VERY customer UN-friendly. Their restock and exchange charges are some of the highest that I've ever seen.

Company Policy
Exchanges & Refunds -- Please contact us at the phone number listed on the front of this invoice for RA# & our returns address.
Exchanges -If you order an incorrect item, there is a $7.50 exchange fee and you are responsible for freight and handling on the new item/s and any costs to return the item/s to us. The new item/s ordered must be at least half the value of the original item/s.
Refunds - If you want to return an item/s without reordering, there is a 10% restock fee(minimum $7.50 maximum $50.00). Freight and handling will not be refunded. The restock $0.00
least half the value of the returned item is ordered within 30 days of refund. Exchanges and refunds will start to process once the item/s has been received back in our Boise, Idaho returns center.
Close-out And Special Order Items May NOT Be Canceled or Exchanged And No Refunds Will Be Issued!
General- Due to the nature of electronic devices such as intercoms, radios & alarms, if an item is received and found to be defective we will exchange the item only. No Refunds under any circumstances on these products. Most items carry a 30 day limited warranty. All items returned for exchange or refund must be in new and resalable condition with all original packing materials, manuals, bags and factory boxes. Items may not be returned if they have been used, modified or mounted to your bike / vehicle. You must call for return authorization within 15 days from receipt of your order. All RA# are valid for 15 Days Only! Please return the item/s to us promptly. The return authorization number you are provided by our sales support department must be clearly VISIBLE on the OUTSIDE of the package you return the item/s to us in. Packages with no visible RA number or an expired RA number will be refused. All items must be returned to us pre-paid. No COD returns or Call Tag Returns! Pack all item/s well and it is recommended that you fully insure the item/s. Any item/s damaged by the customer or that is damaged while in route back to us will be returned to the customer and no exchange or refund will be issued. If the item is damaged, you will need to contact the shipping company you selected to return the item/s back to us and file a claim directly with them.
Damaged Packages - If your order is received damaged, please call 800-463-3339 0.00
up the package from you and start the claim process/paperwork. We can assist you in this process, however, for the fastest possible resolution please deal directly with FedEx/UPS. We will not be able to replace or refund the item if you choose to deal directly with us until FedEx/UPS has settle the claim. This process can take as little as 10 working days and as long as 8 weeks. If you received your order via the U.S. Mail please file your claim directly with the Post Office.
Credit Card Processing - Effective in 2003 many new credit card regulations will go into effect for all mail, phone, and Internet companies regardless of industry. These new regulations are designed to protect the consumer, merchants and credit card companies from fraud and un-warranted consumer inquiries and charge backs. To avoid delays in processing your order, please make sure ALL of the information you provide to us at the time your order is placed is up to date with your credit card company. Your name, address, city, state, zip AND phone number must match with your credit card company. Also, when possible it is helpful to have your order shipped directly to your credit card billing address. All American Express orders are required to go to your billing address.
Handling, Insurance & Shipping Costs- Handling and insurance are calculated at 4% of the value of the item/s you are ordering with a $4.95 minimum. Shipping charges are based on the shipping method you select to receive your item/s and are calculated on a per line basis. In some cases, we may need to split your order and ship it using multiple packages or out of different shipping points, also some closeout items maybe invoiced and shipped separately. In either case this will Not increase your shipping or handling costs.
Processing and Delivery of your order generally takes 5 to 7 working days within the continental U.S. and 7 to 10 days within the U.S. if the order is shipped VIA U.S. Mail, however these times are not guaranteed. Canadian, APO & FPO orders please allow 2 to 4 weeks. If you need the order sooner, please contact our sales support department and they will be happy to provide you with additional shipping options (additional costs/ fees will apply). In some cases we can even have your order dropped shipped directly from the manufacturer to you. Free freight offers are valid only for items you keep (item/s returned are subject to freight charges).
Back Orders -If an item is backordered (not immediately available) we will notify you by mail. Backordered item/s will be automatically billed and shipped when they become available. The item/s will be automatically canceled after 60 days unless the customer notifies us that they wish to leave the item/s on backorder. Special Order item/s are non-cancelable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable under any circumstances! Items placed on backorder are filled first when the item/s do become available.
Colors & Sizing--Colors may not exactly match photos. Sizing charts, information and photos are provided to us directly from the manufacturers. We Do Not produce these in-house, and hence cannot be held responsible for their accuracy, content or quality.

mike, i also had a less than great experience with maw. they did have free shipping, but when i looked up my credit card, they added a $ 7.95 handling charge to my order.

i called and cancelled the entire order, took half an hour.

to be blunt--i dont play that game.

i throw my money at someone who tells me whats going to happen and when, i dont like surprises.

Guess I'll read the fine print before I pass along a deal... I saw they "handling charge" comment, but didn't know it was $8. Not sure I want someone doing that much "handling" of my stuff... lol
