Three times the filter media and a quality check valve vs 1/3 the filter media and a plastic check valve. Now which do I want filtering the oil in my Wings engine? If we made something comparable here at home for a similar price, then I'm with the MIA crowd. For now, seeing that level of quality, I don't care where it's made. Using anything less is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Good luck in your quest.
That's for sure. Plus, Honda probably did us all a favor by having it made over there. If it was made here, the filter might sell for $30.

For anyone wanting to buy American, start by buying Levi 501's that are still made here in the USA. They sell for over $150 a pair, or get the other 501 Levi's made somewhere else for well less then $50. Also, a Snap-On 1/4" drive metric wobbly is now more then $50 bucks, or you can get a full set of Craftmans 1/4" drive wobblies for under $20.
