On a whim I went a local stealership today. Looked to see how much of a markup they have on AmsOil "for metrics". They want $15 a quart... ok Looks like I can check that off the shopping list.
Next was to ask the parts guy for an oil filter for my 2012 GL. He hands me a 15410-MFJ-D02 and says they are $16 each. I spun it around to double check the part number and on the plastic wrap there's the correct number with the words Made in China. I put it back on the counter. The PG says "What isn't made in China". My response was "the oil filter I put on my Wing, that's what".
Are things THAT bad that Honda has to farm their oil filters out to China? If I pay $16 a pop for a filter, its damn well gonna be made here.
