I'm about to purchase a new Goldwing Tour DCT and I'm reluctantly selling my current trusty steed.
I have had a Goldwing since the very first Naked GL1000 in the 70's, and I take great care of my bikes.

I'm going to detail the bike this weekend and put it on eBay.

Maybe it's just me....but...the most important thing a seller can communicate is their expectations on price. By indicating that, they can "weed-out" many of the tyre-kickers. Lets admit that no-one wants to waste their time...buyers NOR sellers.

I personally make it a point to never contact a seller that doesn't offer up a pricing expectation. Now I know that's just me. No offence intended.

I have an '08 with twice the miles and not quite as many accessories, and I would not take $8,000.00 for mine, but then, I am not planning on getting a DCT, either.

If you're not planning on selling it then it's not really a relevant comparison.
$8k seems reasonable as described and even more so when someone wants to move on to another one.
If it weren't so far away I would be very interested even though having just recently acquired my current one.
If you can't get the new one until the current one sells it makes for some incentive to price it to sell instead of dragging on through the remainder of the riding season.

I agree, it is not quite the same, however, so far, it is the only comparison that has been offered. While he did not ask for opinions, I will offer one anyway: I think he should not have a lot of problems selling that Wing, with those accessories for that price.

Congratulations on your new ride! I thought that I would buy one, but when I saw the diminished storage capacity, I knew it wouldn't work for me. My wife brings too much stuff.:congrats::
