I would just release the holders that you use when you adjust the height and pull it all the way out. Dont know for sure but that is what i would try first.

Please do not do what Wild Turkey suggests. That is NOT the way it comes off.


This is the best I can do with a screen capture from the 1800 DVD. If you need a bigger picture, consult a buddies shop manual.

it's not too hard a job at all and the pictures are helpful. When you are pulling the mirrors, remember to shove a rag into the opening in the fairing, else you might lose some screws or spacers into the bottomless pit...
