I am going to take the CB radio out of my 2002 and install it in my 2010, will i need to pull the shelter to get some kind of RF filters installed?

Thanks

You will need the fan filters, I believe.

Loosen the shelter. No need to remove it to get the fan filters. Get the one on the fuel pump also.

I took mine out to put in a '13. Agree no need to take the shelter off. Just loosen and prop it up. If yours is like mine it will hang up around the ignition but I can't remember if there are screws or just a groumet there The filters for the fans will be easy to get to but they will only be needed when the fans are running which is when you are stopped in traffic. The one which is probably the most important is the one for the fuel filter under the seat.

A word of caution: THE BIG 15 PIN CONNECTOR AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF BIKE MIGHT BE A LITTLE HARD TO DISCONNECT. HAVE PATIENCE WITH IT OR YOU MIGHT DAMAGE SOME OF THE LITTLE WIRES. Don't ask me how I know.

Thanks for bringing it up. I have to do the same job. I forgot about the one on the fuel pump.
