The next time it does it, turn on the radio and after you turn on the key and see if the radio sound is muted. If it’s muted when the starter is spinning on it’s own, then the issue is related to the starter button switch or it’s power feed line to the “A” starter relay’s coil. If the radio is not muted, then my bet is a bad ”A” starter relay.

OEM batteries do go bad. I have had two go bad at less than 6 mo. from purchase on brand new 1500's. There was a time when Yuasa had quite a few fail from manufacturing defect. (Bad welds on negative plates?) There are some devices that need a minimum battery voltage to function. (Starting system for one) If the voltage lowers to a threshold value it can cause solenoids to change state, load the battery, drop out, allow voltage to rise again, etc.
