Front forks do not hold up when you hit an immovable object and bend the wheel!


Rider error I believe! :surprise:

Indian had issues with front yoke "snapping off " from low speed impact (crashes)

YA GUY ON BLUE BIKE HAS NO GEAR ON AND GETTING READY TO DO A FACE PLANT :surprise: SURE HE WASNT THINKING OF BIKE .

Hit hard enough to bend rim severely, my thinking is the yoke breaking is a great place for it . Having bike go straight down skidding on lowers the part makes it way more stable than forks bending Willy Nilly .. JMHO

I’m not sure I understand the concern with the bike damage during an impact.

Does it really matter?

As long as the rider can live to ride another day I consider it good.

Something has to absorb the impact forces. Having the forks collapse on impact may just absorb enough force to let you survive.
