May look into the J&M setup. He’s a forum vendor and they’re stuff is good quality. Pretty expensive though. I’m considering having the front and rear speaker and amp kit installed. Few folks had it done from what I’ve read so do a search and read more about the likes and dislikes.

I do know that Polk 5.25 will NOT fit in the rear speaker holes. Someone fit them in the front with some modification for bigger holes.
I just gave up on that and put a good set of speakers in my helmet. iASUS. They are great and an lot less expense and work.

Thank you. I'll look at J&M. The Honda Amp kit DID improve things, but still not to my standard. When I put the bass boost on I have to reduce the volume by 40% so I don't blow the rear speakrs.

I think you’d like the J&M but I dunno if you’ll like the price tag. Especially after already upgrading to the Honda upgraded kit. If you go with the J&M, report back and lemme know how you like it. It’s probably gonna be my next high dollar upgrade

I have tinnitus so my hearing stinks anyway but I've come to feel the stock system is acceptable. I've found the quality of the sound has a lot to do with the quality of the recording - some songs just weren't mixed well while others sound brilliant. I very rarely use the AM/FM on the bike - most of the time I'm using downloaded music or Amazon Prime via bluetooth and it sounds great. I'm not a big fan of the low location of the rear speakers but, as cheap as the front speakers look - they sound pretty good - especially loud and at speed. My two cents. Side note - and keep your comments to yourself - I don't wear a helmet.

 

J&M Amp and Speakers

Has anyone installed the J&M amp and speakers yet? I had a Harley with the J&M Rokker amp and speakers and they rocked. Wondering if the new setup for the Wing does the same. I know people have installed the amp but curious as to how the speakers stack up.

Kustomwings.com contact them they will help you, they have built some stereo's on Gold Wing that will shame the HD boys that has those $4-9k stereo up grades they know GW audio that's all they do.

 

We have installed quite a few ROKKER systms now on the new Wing ,,, and I believe that the ROKKER 800w amp and speakers is the best that you will find ,,, Having said that, we do NOT give them away and thus you will need to justify the price for the performance they provide.

 

The 2021 comes with the “upgraded” Hondaline speakers already all you need is the amp (or so my dealer tells me) so I wonder what the OP was sold as upgrade speakers?

 

I'd like to hear JMJohn's thoughts on this as well. I just purchased his amp, but wasn't planning to upgrade the speakers based off the knowledge that the 21's already have 'upgraded' speakers.

 

I can say the 01-20 model speakers are all just OK

 

I can give you my perspective, as I have the complete J&M system and my friend has the upgraded speakers and Honda amp. The J&M speakers are considerable louder and clearer with the J&M amp vs complete Honda system….no comparison. Now I have not heard the Honda speaker with a J&M amp to compare.
