Yes the mighty Goldwing began in 1975 (seen in Germany late 1974 at a motorcycle show in Cologne). HOWEVER, Honda did not manufacture or produce any 2011 model year Goldwings. Hence this is the 49th year of the mighty Goldwing name and years of production. 2026 will represent the 50th year of manufacturing the Goldwing and suitable as an anniversary of recognition.
