WOW! Even at 55MPH 6 seconds is over 500 feet. That is a lot of warning.

Coming down from 55-60 mph to 15 mph to make a 90* intersection turn will require more time...push the button again. Maybe even twice if the cancel detected enough movement from lane change/etc to shut it off early...WOW! Even at 55MPH 6 seconds is over 500 feet. That is a lot of warning.

I don't know where you all live. I have been in Fl. West Coast for 18 years.) I am From Ohio, where i lived people, stayed at the speed limit.) It's like the Indy 500 here with people from ALL over the country that visit here in the winter , ( worst drivers ) Snow birds. So when i say we need longer turn time , more than 6 sec, The speed limit here is 70 MPH, BUT know one goes 70, at 80 you are getting pushed off the road. Ave speed here is 80-85 MPH.Coming down from 55-60 mph to 15 mph to make a 90* intersection turn will require more time...push the button again. LOL I lived in Fl for 37 years (yep born a yankee but raised a rebel by the grace of God was always my motto) and I assure you the worst time of the year was when northerners made their treks down to our ocean beaches (only NJ has shores haha). I got tired of the two seasons - summer and tourist - and migrated back to the home of my birth. I guess being in southeast Pennsylvania presents the same driving environment you have on the Fl west coast. I have found that 6 seconds is more than enough to catch the driver behind me to register I'm making a lane change, me to jet into my intended lane, and catch them off guard before they do their lane cutting off maneuver. I usually just tap my SUV's turn signal too. No need to give the driver behind me more of an opportunity to cut me off than just the tap and move into the lane.I don't know where you all live. Trust me when i say that you are taking you own life in your hands. NOW, Mind you I don't drive the Highway that much, try to stay on back roads, to avoid all that crap., but there are times you have to.
To turn on the signal over and over agian, is a big PIA, not to mention is very dangerous, when you have a car on your ass, You need alot of lead time with all those people TEXTing while driving,
Sorry for the long explanintion.
I'm not sure which model you have but on the 2018+ models you can disable the auto-cancel, which I have, due to the fact that I ride with a Club and the 6 seconds is not sufficient for a large group. I just have to remember to cancel them myself. Not a biggie. Is there a FIX for the 6 sec turn signal when i am driving. In Fl. you have to warn the car behind you more than the 6 sec that is on ?
6 sec is ok for a lane change, BUT when i am getting off the highway at 80mph, I need the trun signal to stay on longer, goes off before you know it, never had this happen on my other bike.
Bottom line, is there a fix to stay on longer when driving, very anoying.
Thanks
Dave
I have a 2016 , talked to my tech guy, he is going to disable the turn signal so it stays on until I turn it off, that's the best for me, here in Fl.I'm not sure which model you have but on the 2018+ models you can disable the auto-cancel, which I have, due to the fact that I ride with a Club and the 6 seconds is not sufficient for a large group.
