My neighbor bought a 1988 Wing about 3 months ago and is wondering if there were any recalls on it. I am not big into bikes but he is and is an elder guy who doesn't know much about computers so he asked me to see of I could find anything.

Carb slides and bankangle switch is all I can remember!

There was something about a rideability recall. As I recall, it had something to do with a heistation(not sure if I spelled that right). My Wing felt like it was going to die just as I took off from a stop. Almost caused me to drop it several times. After the recall, it was just fine. I am not sure it was computer related or carb related. :roll: w1:

The most important one to check is the bank angle switch, have him take the bike. or the VIN to a dealer, they can look up in their computer if the recalls have been done. There is a mark on the bike that shows if the recall has been performed, I think it's a dot before or after the VIN number on the frame, I could be wrong about the location.
