I saw this out in sturgis also. I just ordered one yesterday and got my confirmation back I should be receiving it on Friday. I'll install it, test it, take pictures and give a review next week. One thing I will say about the shield I saw in Sturgis, is it looks great on the bike. I always thought a short tinted shield would jass up the looks of my GW, but I never wanted to give up the comfort of the tall shield when touring. This shield will do both!

There is probably no height adjustment other than the two shown. Either short or tall. Right? Wonder if it's wider than stock.

I'm thinking you'd still have the standard adjustability that we all have on our wings, wouldn't we? That's another 4 inches or so.

I've used the WindBender shields for close to 10 years - they move as well, and you get the added benefit of the method that the WindBender uses to deflect the air and cut down on turbulence/buffeting. Just my thoughts...

Yeah. Its either up or down but with the adjustment on your bike (the 4" of adjustment that you Goldwing already has) you basically have 8 different heights you can set it at. I'm not sure if its wider than stock or not. It has the flared out wings like the stock one but I didn't ask if it was any wider. I'll let you know when I get it.

.052” thicker than OEM windshield offering increased strength

Is that too thick to be adjustable like the stock shield?

The website says you still have the manual adjustment so that adds 4" to which ever shield you are using.

Looks interesting, I'd like one I could see over, and get
some air when it's hot, but still give me wind protection
when I want it... so I E-mailed them.

Hey, your shield looks interesting. I am 5'5", was hoping
to get something short enough to see over, without
sacrificing my wind protection if needed,
at first glance, your shield seemed to fit the bill, but....
I have a 2002 GL1800, with (I believe) a stock windshield...
just measured it, and looks like at the lowest setting,
it is 16.5" in the center. Is this 17" one the lowest you make?

(Reply)
Thanks for the interest. The 17"-25" measurement on our shield
is actually the entire length of the shield from top to bottom including
the part that sits inside the fairing. The measurement for the fairing to
the top in the low position and lowered all the way with the Goldwing
adjustment is about 9.5".
Then when you flip the upper shield up it is 17.5" with it lowered
into the fairing all the way. Then when you adjust the shield out of the
fairing as far as possible the measurement is 22".
We do offer free priority shipping to anywhere in the US and Canada.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,

Spencer Gould
