I saw a few pics of wings with eliptical driving lights mounted under the mirrors.. It looked really good and added quite a bit of visablility. Has anybody here done this?? It looks like a good location but I'm concerned about jiggling due to the mirrors being rubber mounted.. I'll be putting the fogs in the factory cowling but would like to also have driving lights.

Feedback?? Suggestions??

I have seen those mounts. My auxiliary driving lites are mounted under the front nose...PIAA lights..1100x ...work very welll..and the mounting looks factory installed. I understand the mirror light mounts work as good...but not quite so factory looking.

I have lights mounted under my mirrors. They can be purchased from this site:
http://www.eztank2.com/brackets1800.html

Some have used the screw on the bottom of the mirror to mount driving lights, but I was concerned about how much strain this might have on the mirror housing. There is only a brass nut holding the screw. The brackets from the above site mounts using the actual mirror mounts with longer bolts.

is it legal to have driving lights under mirrors and in the cowl? holy lighted hiway  batman
Will got it right. I saw those mounts at Ron's last weekend, very nicely done! And he guarantees them with up to 4" lights!

Legally, at least in some states - No more than "4" bulbs at once. And driving/passing lights are only supposed to be used with low beams, but if your on the road by yourself... WHO CARES? And the cops won't usually bother you unless you're intentionally blinding people. They understand all about "safety" items like flashing brake lights (also technically illegal). However, they don't understand why I want some blue flashing lights on the front of my bike to clear the fast lane. :p

Thanx for the response guys..
WinginHunk - Love those brackets.. They'd be a bit overkill for this app though..
Robert - I remember seeing your PIAA lights and went to that site.. Where exactly do they mount under the fairing?? They said something about mounting to existing bolts and I looked and couldn't see any that would be useful :?
Eagle eye - Do notice the lights "jiggling" at all? Some of the small lights I saw that came with brackets that I could actually slide in between the mirror and the housing. Was thinking of tacking down with screws or double stick tape. The cat eyes look great !
Went to National Auto today (our local hangout for the "pointy hair boys" and their loud little scooter cars) and they have quite an enormous assortment of shapes sizes and types of diving lights.. I've got some thinkin' to do now...
