I hope I’m not violating any rules here but if you go to the website http://www.dhsracing.com/GL-1800.htm go Down the page they sell Alternator dampening Clip upgrade washers. Is this sold as a preventative to the dreaded (an very expensive) drive gear failure some have? If so is this a matter of pulling the alternator and trading out the stock washer for this replacement part?

This is an upgrade to the retainer clip that holds the 01-05 ADG together. To change it you have to pull the motor out of the frame and remove the clutch and the rear engine cover to access the ADG. Not for the faint of heart! :surprise:
