I went out for a ride on the bike today to test the Zumo.I downloaded my tracks to take a look and realized it shows altitude in track properties :)

Unfortunately, that's the only way to see the altitude on the Zumo.

All of the Garmin GPS units record the elevation in their track information. If you click the 'Show Profile' button, you'll get a graphical representation of the ride.

Being able to see the altitude while riding is one of the features I like best about my 2610, especially when I ride in the mountains. It's even kind of neat to see the altitude near the coast when in some areas you are below sea level. The Zumo seems like a step backwards in some ways. I know the Zumo does have more features than does the 2610 but why did they remove some features that a GPS should have.

Roadie,
I have to agree with you. I'm really dissapointed that the zumo is so limited in information displayed. It must be a programing limitation. Here's to hoping they will upgrade the firmware.
