Interesting. But they did not test what I'm using (golden specto semi), so I will stick with that.

Tests like that don't show the whole picture and can be misleading.

What part of the pic. did it not show. The various oils were tested with the same equipment, same procedure and same controlled surroundings yielding different results. Not saying any oil is the best but this test seemed as fair as one can be for the purpose intended.

You know, that is all very interesting, but when we have Wings with 300,000+ miles on them that have only used plain old dino oil in them changed at every 8,000 miles, I can't help but wonder how significant those test are. I use synthetic in my bike and I change it more often than the books says to, but I am pretty sure it is more for the feel good factor than anything else.

I guess that I will never hurt my bike by changing the oil more often than I need to, but it also makes me feel good that I will likely get a good long life from my engine no matter what.

This is what a complete test shows so whatever your choice of oil is you have a complete picture.

I may have to try some that Royal Purple. Seems to be the best in that comparison.
