The January 2007 Wing World on Page 4 has an article about a guy using a 195/50/16 sport bike tire on his GL1800. The article is by Nick Hoppner.

One of his comments concerning any odd sized tire issues is: "Can a fellow motorcyclist or someone you converse with on a website be held accountable? Can the website operator be taken to court for allowing bad advice to be exchanged on his message boards?"

Just so you know where we at HDL stand on this tire issue. All of the tire manufacturers tell us that if the tire is not approved for a GL1800 that they will not approve the installation and can not provide any help if a warranty issue comes up.

If that's that case, most web forums might as well close down now.

Doesn't this cover the site owner operator:

The representations expressed are the representations and opinions of the gl1800riders.com forum members and do not necessarily reflect the opinions and viewpoints of the site owners or moderators.

Just remember that you can agree to and sign all kinds of forms but when it goes to court its a new ball game.

That's right, Hal. "If it weren't for the 'information' I got from that website, I never would have tried it." If a jury buys that, you're dead meat.
