Was thinking of relocating to the area from Ct was looking for the good and bad of the area.

Middle TN is nice, much less mountainous and more populous than East. That would be an area becoming a suburb to Nashville. The roads would be more crowded and less fun than East, but the area ameneties would be more common to someone from the North East (Nashville may be the home of Country Music, but it is quite progressive). If you want something culturaly akin to CT, check out Oak Ridge, which is in a great riding area and has much of the political/socialogical feel of New England.
