They upgraded certain Honda autos to wireless after the fact, so the capability may have always been there, just locked.
If you look on the FCC site for type acceptance the infotainment system does have Wi-Fi capability, but it is disabled. Whether this feature was meant for internal programming/configuration or for the end-user, I don't know.

Interesting. First time I've seen Honda come out with an anniversary model with less features than the previous year. I guess it was just too hard to get the issues with it fixed? I wonder if this means we won't see anymore map or firmware updates for previous model year bikes.

My father rode until he was 87, then drove his Porsche until 97. You should be so lucky.
Whoopty doo, so what does grandpa colors have to do with how long someone lived? That ugly color combo still has grandpa written all over it as It did in the 80’s. For a company wanting to attract a new generation of riders, putting old boring colors on it is counter productive. So if you’re in or near the 80 crowd, congratulations, go get you your 50th anniversary so they hit their marketing targets.

That comment says a lot about you. Welcome to respond in order to affirm this.

That comment says a lot about you.
It says I think that color combo is ugly and dated and that is my opinion, and that I think it is counter productive to attracting new riders. That was all my first comment was about until you piped up and made it into something else.
Thanks for the affirmation.

Oh you’re so cute Wingcon. You went back and edited your previous post so you could continue with this affirmation statement. THAT sir, says a lot about you. So we have drifted far from talking about motorcycles, and I’m sure others are as tired of it as I. Therefore, have a good night.

Thanks again for falling right into this, since you feel so superior to people over 80. Incredibly amusing. Got the popcorn out now.

Guys, let it go. Stop it now. We're better than this.

I want to personally thank Honda for saving me tens of thousands of dollars.

By not updating your product in 2025 I can more confidently continue to enjoy my flawlessly running, heavily farkled 2018 model. It's resale value should also have survived more intact since far less potential buyers will be compelled to go out and purchase the 'new' (unchanged) bike.

Well played Honda...Well played.

From an initial look at Powersports: Wireless APC/Android, upgraded auto volume and equalizer, colors, 50th badge with book and model on the 50th edition, a saddlebag USB (But maybe that was already done?), and display menu looks a bit different. Someone tell me if I'm missing anything.
Initial look, "brown/gold" doesn't float my boat. Reminds me of a 1950s station wagon. My wife said "ugh" when I showed her the picture. Red and silver with the blacked out pipes look really nice at first blush, but need to see them in person. Disappointed no matte black avail. for the Tour DCT.
A lot of lead up/promotion for very little change, but will probably make the leap from my '18 assuming bargaining works out.
Not sure why no blind spot warning or maybe even better designed saddlebags, but maybe the market's dying for big tourers and it's not worth their expense. Unlike others not concerned about more power. I think it's a great engine.
Also really like the new cartridge style air filter. LOL.

Harley and Indian doesn't think the touring market is dying..they keep improving and adding features to their touring machines

Not sure if anyone noticed, but the silver Tour model is $500 cheaper, and doesn't come with the 50th anniversary badges.

Personally, I don't think the Gold colored bike looks all that bad. It might not be my choice, but I can see how some might like it. At least it isn't one of those ugly flat looking matte colors. It's also nice to see a return of silver wheels instead of black.

The gold color would had been pretty nice if just been a solid color. I also prefer the bright wheels and chrome exhaust look.

The 2025 goldwing looks like a fantastic bike. I own and ride two Hondas from the 1980’s so I can attest to the reliability. I have rode what Indian and BMW have to offer. I prefer the goldwing for the styling and performance and I don‘t really find much difference between the touring models. I do love the dct that only Honda offers. The electric windshield and forward/reverse crawl features are fantastic. I can buy the goldwing for 10-15 grand less than a comparable Indian, Harley or BMW.

……Like someone else already said here... I'm not seeing how this look will attract any younger riders unless they are looking for Clark Griswald's station wagon from the Vacation movies.:ROFLMAO::LOL:
One can argue, with about 100% certainty, that the younger crowd will run away and absolutely hate anything most 60+ year old people like. That’s been true for generations…..

Honda has to walk a tightrope and try and attract both crowds… probably impossible. Younger folks don’t want your Goldwing anymore than you want their skateboard.

That might be true in Canada, but not here in the States. Case in point. Local dealership in my neck of the woods has a 2025 BMW K1600GTL, black color. MSRP is $30,635.00. BMW includes freight in their MSRP.

Honda does not include the freight charge in their MSRP. Honda's current freight charge is $775.00.

2025 Honda Tour DCT MSRP is $29,700.00. Adding $775 freight charge, price is $30,475.00.

That is not a $10-15K difference in price.
