Gallute, you lurker! I like your periodic apperances....say what you mean!

Rocky,
I dont believe that the Battlax has better grip than the 709...Support that with empirical data will ya?

How about other witnesses to such an event? Trialsman, do you believe that? Meteor? Laen?...no, not him!...Stick?

it does not even make sense that a tire that gets chewed-up and cupped all to hell prior to normal wear would actually be biting the asphaltian terrain with more certitude than my fav 709.

...and many experts contend that there is no way a bias is gonna have better gripage than the radial...

Ok! I am fully suited...go ahead

If you go with o'school, general wisdom has that one should use both brakes at the same time....using a proportional feel.

If you go with modern technology, the Wingabego front brakes come on automatically to proportionally match the rear breaking force. I suspect, under normal driving conditions, one has hardly ever the need to press the front brake cause Honda does it for ya.

Under more extreaneous stopping, it might be good to apply both

Breaking all the time with the front brake does not seem efficient and it may be dangerous. The motorcycle safety course has an exercise: stomping on the rear break and letting the rear tire slide...guess why?

When an emergency happens one is going to react with the 'formed habit'

If you can't figure out what could happen by stomping on the front brake of a hauling a$$ motorcycle then you should take the safety course...

That's because you have never gotten drunk enough to sleep with an ugly chick...so that, you wake up in the morning light and jump out of your skin.

What do you mean you dont jump when a gun-shot...Even Laen is not going to believe that!
