Anybody for a RTE in the Spring of 2015

One of my favorite places to eat is Lambert's in Springfield. Anyone up for a RTE to Lambert's? It would not be a short trip from Manhattan, but certainly possible. Anyone up for a 600 mile day to eat a good lunch?

That's a good date for me. Of course you would have to make a pit stop at Osceola cheese on hiway 13 for cheese samples to tide you over before the rolls.
I make a couple of road trips a year to ride down in Arkansas, I will probably extend my trip at least another day to enjoy the areas riding.
March 1st is the first Cassoday ride this year, maybe we can get together then an chat about the Mo. ride?

well my step son is getting married that day so I guess I won't be going. Darn would be a fun ride, you will all enjoy.

Looks like the weather is going to be nasty on the first.

I certainly will not be there. I have a CT, but it is reportedly terrible in snow even on a car.

Lamberts in Ozark, MO

we are planning to go as well, weather permitting
and staying at a koa in springfield or branson mo.
we'll be leaving from eureka ks.

Since my dad lives in Derby, I'm seriously considering going down there to see him on Friday and leaving from there on Saturday morning. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Rte

We had a good time, but participation was pretty low. There were 2 of us. Tberger53 and I rode from Wichita to Springfield on Saturday and had a good lunch. We even both caught the rolls they threw at us. :lol: I was very surprised by the service. There were a good number of people at Lamberts as the parking lot was nearly full, but we put our name on the list at about 1:00 PM and we were finished with lunch by about 2:15. I was prepared to wait over an hour just to get a table, but things went much faster than that.

The weather was looking questionable on Thursday for the weekend, but it turned out to be nearly ideal. I said nearly ideal because we did have some wind to deal with. OTOH, when do you not have wind in this part of the country?
