We've got a guys only ride from Atlanta to New Orleans planned leaving on the morning of 22 August, 2011 and returning on the 24th. Need suggestions on places to eat along Hwy 90 that parallels the southern edge of Mississippi from Pascagoula westward. Hint: We love Crab Leggs.

These are a few places that we have tried and liked.

Just to name a few:

Barbeque:
"The Shed" Exit 50 Ocean Springs Ms (This really is in a Shed, but great BBQ and Blues music)
"Rob's on the Side" Market St Pascagoula MS

Seafood:
"Blow Fly Inn" Washington Ave. Gulfport, MS (Seafood and other plates)
"Cafe' New Orleans" Lamey Bridge Rd. D'Iberville MS (Seafood and Po Boys)
"Biloxi Schooner" Howard Ave. Biloxi, MS (Seafood and PoBoys)

Of course, there are several Casinos in the Biloxi/Gulfport area that have a grand Seafood Buffet, cant really recommend any as we dont frequent those, but hear that they are good.

Here is a good link that you may find helpful in this area and others.

Hope you enjoy your trip down this way and ride safe. It will be hot more than likely, but semi comfortable (bearable) in early morn and late evening. Hwy 90 from the Al/MS state line all the way to Long Beach/Waveland area is in great shape, and this will take you right down the MS Gulf Coast beach once you reach the Ocean Springs area. Stay on Hwy 90 all the way into Slidell (?) and you are right at New Orleans. Not sure of Hwy 90 once you get into LA. Rode that several years ago and it was rideable but not in the best shape, but would take it again if we went that way. All along the MS Gulf Coast, there are numerous other seafood places that you will find for your enjoyment. Have Fun!

If you like crab legs and don't mind going to a casino they will have the best crab legs. I go down there just to eat them, in fact I just got back. If you make it down to Bay St Louis a good casino is just over the bridge. It is the Hollywood casino and the Silver Slipper in biloxi are two of our favorites.

RDY2RIDE & WNDUNCAN42,

Thanks for the information. I think I'll recommend the Blowfly to the guys. There will be five of us, if everyone shows up, and it would be great if you all who reside in that area could meet up with us for lunch. Looking forward to it and thanks again.
