I just received my Super Pro AVI, and I'm getting ready to install it on my '07 Goldwing. Are there any detailed installation instructions posted anywhere? I found Autocom's one-page guide, and I found Fred's pictures. I see reference to Fred's instructions, but I don't see them anywhere. (I also just received Fred's videos, but have not looked at them yet). Any help is appreciated.

OK. I have it figured out. Thanks for the help. I have the control unit installed in the trunk cavity. I drilled a hole and put a rubber grommet in it. Looks great. I was just able to get all the wires through the hole. I'm still waiting on a new Arai Profile full face helmet. Should arrive next week. I don't want to install the headset in my old helmet, but I tested it and it seems to be working.

I'm also gonna hook up a Garmin Rino 530 to use as a FRS radio. Anyone know where I can get a good mount?

Got mine at GPSCity. They have Ram mounts and the cradle for the Rino 530. Be aware the cradle is different for the 530 than other models...

Good luck!
(BTW: I haven't needed to run a power cord to the Rino. The battery seems to last forever...)

I have used the rear LH Passenger pocket.

Wires go out through the pocket bottom.

My UHF CB in the LH fairing pocket. (still need to tidy up the aluminium bracket). Can open the door when riding and see the screen if required. It is an auto scanning unit with 40 UHF channels and up to 100 programable personal recieve only channels.

Autocom push to talk. (wires go down the h/bar cover and across the fairing support beam to the LH pocket then back to the Autocom unit).

Very nice, Trev

A lot of good ideas there... I like the rear pocket mounting so you can get at the unit to adjust volume/vox levels, or whatever. Seems like under the seat would be a pain...

Also really like your image host's advertising :D :D

Enjoy your Summer!
