Well East Team,

I did a little work and came up with a real plan to keep the baton moving, in the most efficient means. I started with where it is now (start point) and where it should be at the end point (as stated by the rules) . I plotted all the remaining states / capitals. With using 2010 Streets and Trips I optimized the stops and this is the best route with the least mileage/ time etc.

I am a great believer of:

Plan your work...... Work your plan.
(I believe any Long distance rider would agree)

If we to adopt this "planned route" it would facilitate with planning, times on the road for our riders and accomplish the mission in the best manner. With this everyone will know where it's been and where it is going next.

Please remember to check the "Team East Offical" thread for information at: http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=256987

I have it at point 1 as of 4/19/11

Here is the map: Also I do have the directions if needed.

OK folks we need rider to pick up in Montgomery and continue the suggested ride plan.
Speak up NOW ...Thanks

Time Mile Instruction

0.0 Montgomery
201 Tallahassee
274.3/292 Pass off between exits 130 and 112 (HWY 10)
Another pass before exit 65 on Hwy 12
Take it into Baton Rouge

If someone pick it up just before / at exit 65 on hwy 12 .. you can take it to Baton Rouge and make it to Jackson, MS with under 300 miles.

If you are gonna ride post on board and contact the person you are going to pick up from and if you wish include a PM or email with your phone number so I can help cordinate the pass offs.
Thanks
