I have been working on a friends HD 2017 Triglide related to its battery.

Today I spoke with Tim at Battery Tender CS and he stated that all modern Battery Tenders have a designed in Time Out function.

The time out only occurs if the Battery Tender stays in the Yellow (LED) charging mode for more than a few days. In my model the time out is 72 hours. Other models have other time out periods but all are a few days.

No time out if Green LED is steady on showing full charge. Green LED comes one once battery is fully charge and the float voltage is about 13 V dc. (Thought he said 14.6 V but not sure after doing internet review)

On my model the time out is indicated by having alternating flashing of both the Green LED and Yellow LED.

Using a Fluke Clamp Amp Meter the battery tender seems to put out 1.3 Amp or so when charging the battery.

Looks like that model is two 1.25A chargers in one package. (which agrees with your meter)
