I'm running the original battery. I have a '08 Nav Model, that was purchased new in '09. When not riding I keep the bike on a Battery Manager. So far so good on starting. Wondering just how much longer I have of Battery Life?

Since the 1800 doesn't have a kick starter I would be prone to changing it at this point. Many have lasted longer; some not so much. Me, I don't like pushing a Wing. Usually, I will change the battery at five years. Now I 'm using the Shorai Lithium Ion battery so we'll see how it goes. so far three years.

Thanks for your reply. Following your recommendations I ordered a Shorai Lithium Ion battery with 540 Cranking Amps. from Wingstuff. The price seemed a bit high so I hope it holds up a long time.
