Today was brilliantly sunny, cool, and breezy. I'm SO glad I didn't take my son's car up to Baltimore to visit my dad in the hospital (getting a replacement pacemaker at Hopkins). After we watched the Ravens game together :)yes:) I set off towards the West...

Ellicott City, Jessup, Laurel, Burtonsville, Olney, Damascus, Mt.Airy, Germantown, Rockville, Aspen Hill. Absolutely delightful crisp riding. Big crowds at the pumpkin patches and lots of bikes out and about. Turned my heated glove-liners on low the last leg; temp readout said 51-degrees at that point. Love these surprise rides that turn out to be terrific.

Gary,

We were in your neck of the woods this August, visited Wheels and my brother and sister inlaw in Ellicott City. Pretty country.

Glad you're enjoying riding before winter....

Best wishes for your father.
