I have the two piece belly pan making the oil filter change easy.

On the way home from GA, the removable part decided to remove itself somewhere on the highway, never to be found. Thinking about it, I wonder if I really need to replace it. I also have the front fender extension, and I believe the bigger part of the belly pan is covering the overflow tank for the antifreeze. Am I correct? I can see the oil filter using a mirror.

If you caught a stick in the front it might jam you and pole vault you. LOL. Just kidding, but it could catch road debris .

Without the front part, your oil filter is still exposed.

You will probably collect a lot of cinders, small stones, and other debris in the rear part of the pan.

Looking at mine, if the front was missing, I think I would take the rear off.

Looks like it becomes a dirt catcher.
