I have the Tulsa belly pan on my wing and I have been hearing about another brand that has vents in it.
Does anyone here have a vented pan and what would I gain if I went to the vented one?
I have heard that the Vented ones will not produce as much heat around your the feet which would be great during summer riding. Thanks

I received an email from wingstuff.com just today. They show one in their "new item" section. I already deleted it, but I think it was around $70.00. Maybe Hal will pick up the line also.

Greetings!

If you know someone in the sheet metal fabricating biz, there is a standard louver punch that they commonly use that will do the trick nicely. You might be able to get your existing pan modified for the price of a few beers.

The heat myth continues

PShivers did a great experiment on this a couple years back to show it is all balderdash

I have an unvented pan and put some anti-chafe tape on it where it
contacts the engine, the lower cowl, and where the sections overlap.
While the areas directly under the headers do get hot, the tape has not
shown heat damage in over a year of use.

Although I would suspect that the thicker stainless steel pans like the
one in the link above would not shed heat near as fast as the aluminum ones.

What do you mean by anti-Chafe tape. Could you provide a photo?

Thanks everyone with your replies to my question. I will keep riding (when the snow is gone) and not change anything.

Even if you wanted a vented belly MC, I'd drill a dozen or so holes.

Well, I have the one with vents on the front section (can't remember the make)
With those vents in front is dumb, it collects all the crap coming off the front tire..........
