Installed my new GL1800 2 piece belly last night. NOT a Tulsa model. I was surprised at how thin the metal is :?: and can see why it would be easily damaged. Is the Tulsa model a heavier made unit or is it just as flimsy?

when I removed the front piece to do an oil change, I noticed how well the Tulsa did its job...lots of little tiny dings! It is not a flimsy piece of metal.

Guess it depends on what a flimsy piece of metal is. A Tulsa absorbs a lot of impact, I have gouges and even a patched tear in it. But it is not half inch boiler plate.

The thinner one is also cheaper. You make your choice. Whats the price of a roll of Reynolds Wrap?

The Tulsa Belly Pan is manufactured from 6061 T-6 aluminum "aircraft skin". I don't know what the one you have, is made out of.
Also T-66 and I just mic'd it ...

measures 1/32nd inch thick.

How thick is the Tulsa Pan?
