Honda must have a different price structure for higher volume dealers versus the lower volume dealers. I was talking to my friend who is the sales manager at a small Honda dealership and I was showing him some of the prices that were advertised for the Wing at certain dealers (OTD being one of them). His comment was: They're selling them cheaper than I can buy them.

I just picked up my 09 last weekend, Hollister Honda beat the OTD price and they're great people...
That's good to hear. I'm taking a ride over there tomorrow (3/19) to browse and get some prices on an '08 & '09 that they have in stock. Hate it when I get the "itch" for a new ride, as I already know what the results will be. :eek:4:
What Level '09 did you get?

Hey you guys knock it off with getting new bikes!!
Envy is so hard to control :mrgreen:

Hey Paul, if you get the chance while you are there would you ask what their charge is for changing tires on the bike. They charged me an hour of labor for just one tire here in town even though I purchased it from them. Came out $290 for one front stone :22yikes:
Or maybe you even have someone you know of in Fresno that is reasonable.
Did you have it done at Merced Power Sports? The last time I inquired about tires/mounting the prices that they gave me was outrageous. I buy my tires from Hal (board sponsor) and pull my wheels off and take them to Cycle Gear here in Fresno and they charged me $25 per wheel last time. They won't pull the wheels off your bike.
Their is a guy in Delhi by the name of Bill Davis that does lots of work on GoldWings and is supposed to be reasonable & good. I'll get his phone # from my friend.

CAWing - If you can, first call Dave Ginkel at Hollister Honda 408-461-0324, his cell, to make sure he will be there. He's the Goldwing guy to talk to.
Three of us rode over there today and I spoke with the Sales Manager (not sure if that was Dave), but most of my dealings were with Christie Obata. They had two new '08 Wings and two new '09 Wings on the floor. All of them had ABS. They also had one '08 ABS demo for sale with 1500 mi. on the clock. I was very impressed with the entire operation and was quoted $21850 OTD. (taxes, license fees, etc.) for a new '08 Peral White ABS model.

Yes, their is a good chance of that happening. I should have known better than to go browsing. Even with 144,000 + smiles on my '01 I really hate to part with it....so we'll see.
My friend is supposed to email me the phone # for Bill Davis in Delhi.
