I am running 41 on both ends. Came from someone that uses stones exclusively.

THE best pressure? Loaded question, like "which oil" and "which tire." Probably 20 different answers, depending on who you ask.

As for me, I go with the Honda recommended of 41 rear and 36 front.

Best ride and handling 1 up: 36 fnt. 38 rear
2 up: 38 fnt. 41 rear

The Bridgestone "front" tire in paticularly is high pressure sensitive. Anything above say 38 psi and it gets all quirky and wanders and needs constant correction. As with any tire, heavier loads require more pressure to minimize heat stress. If anyone exceeds the Wings recommended capacity of 419 lbs. they certainly should increase pressure above the recommendation.

Experiment a bit 38-41 seems to fit the bill
Metzler guy. Metzler themselves recommend 41F and 43 R
But I ran 40F & 42R w/Stones

No offense, but there's something wrong with your bike.

I dare say there are damn few riders who do the miles we do and even fewer who put their tires and machine through what I do.

Stoner front wears out about 14 to 15K with ZERO CUPPING!!! I run em till the wear bars touch the street and get new rubber. For those who really want to push.. 19k is NOT out of the question on a stoner front tire running 41 psi.

Personally, I run 41f (stoner) and 42 rear (metzler)

We have almost 95,xxx miles in 20 months. I work as a motorcycle escort so the bike gets driven like a cop bike.

Here's an example...

I never noticed any wandering with the stones at 41 psi, but the bike sure did ride rough. The ride is smoother with 36 in the front. Front 36 psi / rear 41 psi

36 front - 41 rear on the Stones just like MH says under the trunk lid.

Virtually no cupping on the front, rear starts to growl with cupping around 6k or so and is really howling by the end of its' life.

I have progressive springs in the front which seems to have really helped the front cupping along with bottoming the forks during hard cornering.

I am religious about adjusting the rear suspension for the load but admittedly run it a little higher than most for the handling. I run it set on 10 with the bike empty and solo for back and forth to work. for any sort of fun riding I pump it to 15 and then up from there for anything in the bags.

I think the most important thing for tire wear is regularly checking and adjusting tire pressures. I inspect tires and check pressure every other day unless there is a large temp change day to day and then I do it daily.

Finally, I run 37 front and 42 rear when we are two up and loaded. Doesn't sound like much but one pound makes a diff in a soft compound tire and I can feel it.

No offense taken, nothing is wrong with my bike other than it's stock suspension. I ride nut'in but wicked twisties on our Appalachian mountain roads. With Bridgestones I usually get anywhere from 8 to 10K to the wear bars with minimal to no cupping. 41 psi will make a stock suspended Wing ride too harshly and a Stone follow road imperfections.
