I live in North Carolina and feel like I'm missing something in nearby South Carolina.

What are some of the best SC roads to ride?

What are some of the best destinations in SC?

I like good food, spookey places, cool museums, art work, theater, cool buildings and tacky, roadside novelty spots (aka South of the Border). All recommendations welcome.

Miller's Bread Basket and the Healing Springs in Blackville, SC. Plan for a nap in the rocking chairs out front after you eat.

Tobacco Museum in Mullins, SC

Tea Plantation and Angel Oak tree in the Charleston area.

Most of the roads with curves are west of I85 in the upstate.

Re: the tobacco museum in Mullins. I think that at one time Mullins had the largest tobacco market in the country. Poor town has about dried up. Mrs.Phideaux grew up there, but I rescued her and brought her up here into the North GA hills.

SC Roads

I can't believe that she gave up the sandy loam for that red gawga clay...well, maybe I can. lol

I second the tobacco museum, then run around the corner and eat at Webster's or O'Hara's.

Some good roads to ride in the area, also.
