I've posted the latest from Rene in my original post about Beverly. News was a little better today.

Rene won't be able to be there tomorrow to meet everyone - she has to take Beverly's mother to meet up with her ride home to NJ and then head home to take care of things there. She has cleared the way for me to go up and drop off cards and flamingos though.

Around lunch time today, about 15 of us paraded a dozen or so Goldwings through the Tampa General Hospital grounds, then gathered across the street from the hospital and sang Happy Birthday to Beverly. Jeff (Skeeterbeater) has it all on tape to show her at a better time. Jeff also delivered to Beverly a bunch of birthday cards, some pink flamingos, and a special "group hug" card from everyone at GL1800Riders.com, with 348 names on it.

Jeff told us at lunch afterwards that when he told her, he thinks she actually smiled.

I've updated my original post in the other thread with what went on when I took everyone's cards and flamingos up to Beverly's room after our sing along.

Beverly is THERE, if you can understand what I mean by that. Got a couple of smiles out of her and some eye blinks in response to what I was talking to her about. She's in really bad shape, but she is still there and seemed to know what was going on.

I'll post more as I hear from Rene. I'll also get the video put together as soon as I figure out how to use my software. Then I'll have to find some place to post it so folks can get to it.
