I want to install this kit, but I have no interest in installing the on/off switch. I just want them on when the other lights are on. Has anyone done this? Can I just tuck the switch in with the rest of the wire bundle, leave it on, and tape it up?

Thanks,

Okay, why don't you want to install the switch? I never turn mine off, but I installed the switch, it's simple. Remove the headlight adjust panel, unscrew the dummy plug and screw the switch in. You can always remove the switch later and reinstall the dummy plug. You have to remove the headlight adj panel to get to the wire connector anyway.

Yes, there's no reason you can't bury the switch somewhere without installing it.

I have no dummy plug on the headlight adjust panel. No openings at all on the right side. I do have one open (dummy) position on the left panel with the audio controls.

I figure if you are never planning to turn them off, why install the switch. I will need that switch opening later when I instal the Whelan strobe uint.

Thanks,

What year? Is a air bagger? There's a black square plug just above the suspension preset switches. That plug unscrews from the back.

Either way I don't see a problem. Why even install the switch, just jump the wires and leave the switch in the box. :)

I guess another solution would be to cut the switch out of the circuit and splice the two wires together to leave them on all the time?
That's what I just said! LOL... I'm just quicker.

I think you'll see two brown wires on the top of the switch. That's the two you need to connect at the harness plug. I'm doing this from memory so all bets I'm 100% correct on the colors is off. No need to damage or alter the switch for any reason.

Ah.....air bagger! I don't have a clue about the panels except I know they're different.

Good Luck.......

Keep in mind that in most states it is illegal to have more than 4 forward headlight on at any one time, which is fine, but remember if you have the highbeams on you have 6 lights so there could be times where that might be a problem. I like the flexibility a switch gives me to have my driving lights on or off when I want based upon the situation. I ride with my driving lights on full time and occasionally all six lights, but only when I know it is not going to cause a problem with other traffic or a LEO who might not like all my forward lights on.
