Hi Wingers, I was wondering if anybody equip their bike with blue tooth technology. To talk on the cell phone, or hear a gps and radar. Is it worth the expense and aggervation. Any tips would be appreciated.

I have the Nolan communications with the bluetooth stereo Ebox. It works for the head to head communications and I use my phone's music player, navigation, and the cell phone all at the same time. The music player is on all the time and when I get a phone call the music stops and when the call is over the music picks up where it left off, same with the GPS voice. we like it because we don't have any wire's. But we do have to charge the batteries.

I use the SENA and like it a lot. It works my and my wifes cell phone and comm and allow plug in Ipod. However, at this point, there is no BT connection capability to the bike-no GPS or radio capability. JM is working on a dongle that will allow the GW to be fully bluetooth enabled and it should be out anytime. Well see.

Using Bluetooth through my Garmin GPS and love it. All I had to buy was a splitter for the mic pickup. Worth every penny.

^^^^^This is what I would like to do also.

I believe there are ways to do this. J&M sells a bluetooth setup, but you will have well over $600 invested by the time you buy all the items necessary to hook it up. It is, however, pretty much plug and play.

I am going to try this: http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=251740&highlight=custom+bluetooth. It looks a bit intimidating at first glance, but it is not that hard to do. You don't need to change the CB switches like he did.

PS, one thing I can tell you...do not plug your 3.5mm aux into an escort radar detector...it will blow the audio instantly in the escort.
