Just googled Shotover jet and the first entry was 1 killed 11 injured in jet boat accident in New Zealand. Is this the same place? I didn't read the article since I'm not getting in that thing regardless of where it is. I don't have much of a life but I value what little I have.

ouch ....one Japanese tourist killed
others injured

They have an accident the month before where some others were hurt as well
BUT they say their operators go through 150 hours of training before taking any paying passengers aboard. Previous to these incidents they had had no accidents where any one got hurt

So...if I understand it correctly - before they had the 150 hour training there were no accidents, but now after the training people are getting killed?
