I picked up my White ABS / Level 3 Thursday evening. I only have 70 miles so I have no ride review except the ride is better. I traded my 2009 Special Blue ABS with 86,201 miles on it. I had Race Tech suspension front and rear on my 2009.

I had done some modifications to the 2009 that I hope I can do to the 2012. One I will not have to do is drill a hole in the navigation housing to hook up my laptop with Mapsource to download waypoints since the 2012 has that capability now. I will have to add the switch to use the navigation while moving. I hope it is as easy as the 2009 was.

This is my 6th Gold Wing since 2003 and I have ridden about 300,000 miles on them. A lot of my miles come from riding IBA rides. So far I have completed 21 with 15 of those being BBG's. I did ride in the 2009 IBR and the 2010 IB 5000.

I have been busy moving the farkels from the 2009 to the 2012.

I like it and not just because of the color. You have to admit that the front shelter design gives it an attitude.

20102 White

The very first picture on the 2012 White Wing was......

Looks like a perfect bike for the Stormtroopers on Star Wars!

If that's true, then the black one must be for Darth Vader!

Just teasing!

(Has anyone else noticed the alien looking "face" on the front fairing of the new wing? Reminds me of the alien In Independence Day who wound up getting the computer virus and atomic warhead in his docking port)

Does the black engine cover have the same tabs

The seat profile and side panels look to be a different size

Congratulations on your new Wing. I like the 2012. I wasn't fond of the rear at first, but it grew on me.

Welcome aboard Greg. I see you often on the MTF, but I guess I hadn't noticed you over here until now. I recently read your ride report of your latest BBG. I have one in the planning stage that I hope to get to soon, but it will be my first BBG.

I hope you enjoy your new ride.

I saw one at Schroaders with the trunk lights changed out. Matched up with the bag lights much better. You may want to consider taking a look for yourself.:congrats:

Congrats on the new bike!

Nothing like a brand new bike. Maybe when my kids are out of college.
