As part of a few maintenance items today I flush the brakes and the clutch, all the fluids were a dark brown and the rear had nasty water sitting on the bottom of the reservoir. I use almost a qt of dot 4 fluid to make sure clean fluid was coming out. Had some trouble with the right caliper getting to flush. Anyways all is fresh clean fluid.

I bought this bike used last September of 18, and have been doing maintenance to give me a starting point moving forward.

Hardest part is getting to the bleeder. It is tucked in behind the charcoal canister behind the lower cowl.

It was pretty simple, just need to remove that front lower cover, remove that canister to get to the clutch bleeder valve.

Yep... that's what we call "simple" on doing GW maintenance.... :wink2:

If you search "GL1800 Clutch Bleeder" on YouTube, there's a good 2 minute video that shows you exactly where the clutch bleeder is. I just did mine today and it's pretty easy to get the canister out of the way to get to the bleeder.

That bleeder valve can be extended out so it is not necessary to remove the canister...!!!
