My 06 fork seal started leaking last fall. The bike has been sitting all winter and I finally able to start working on it.
I just received new parts and am in the process of installing progressive springs, all balls, seals, bushings, and dust caps.
While tearing down the front forks I noticed that my everything on my right fork was saturated in fork oil. Its a big dirty mess.
I still have a lot of wear left on the pads. I also have a complete set of new pads (front and rear) on the shelf.
My question is, can the brake pads be cleaned up with brake cleaner and reused or did the brake pads asorb the oil and they are now toast?
Visually, the pads looked okay after I cleaned them.
